Anthropic is reportedly negotiating to buy Decart, an Israeli startup known for real-time video and world-model AI, in a deal valued at roughly $6 billion. It would be Anthropic's largest acquisition to date and its fifth of the year, coming as the company prepares for a widely anticipated public listing.
Anthropic is in talks to acquire Decart, an Israeli-founded artificial intelligence startup, in a deal valued at approximately $6 billion, according to reports circulating this week. Representatives for both Anthropic and Decart declined to comment, and people close to the discussions have stressed that the talks remain tentative and unfinalized.
Decart was founded in 2023 by Dean Leitersdorf, Orian Leitersdorf and Moshe Shalev, with founders including alumni of the Israel Defense Forces' Unit 8200. The company built its early financing on a $21 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital, followed by a Series A led by Benchmark that pushed its valuation above $500 million.
The startup's technology extends beyond text generation. Its Lucy model processes live video feeds to produce real-time footage, including applications that show people wearing clothing or accessories, addressing a longstanding difficulty in fashion e-commerce; eBay is both an investor in and a customer of the company. A second model, Oasis, generates synthetic environments used to train and test robotics and self-driving systems.
A $6 billion price would mark another sharp step up in Decart's value. In May 2026 the company raised $300 million in a round led by Radical Ventures, with Nvidia, Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners and Adobe Ventures participating, valuing it at close to $4 billion, up from $3.1 billion in August 2025. That implies a premium of roughly 50% over its most recent private mark.
The transaction would be Anthropic's largest acquisition to date and its fifth of the year. It comes as the company scales infrastructure to meet demand for its Claude models and prepares for a widely anticipated initial public offering.
