Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate jumped to more than $65 billion by the end of July, up sharply from $47 billion in May, according to Bloomberg. The surge, driven by booming enterprise demand for Claude, strengthens the company's position as it prepares for a possible stock market listing as early as this autumn.
Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate surged past $65 billion by the end of July, according to figures reported by Bloomberg, marking one of the fastest revenue expansions ever recorded by a private technology company. The jump represents a dramatic acceleration from the $47 billion run rate the Claude maker reported just two months earlier in May, and a more than sevenfold increase from the roughly $9 billion run rate the company posted at the end of last year.
The company also disclosed preliminary second-quarter revenue exceeding $11.5 billion, alongside positive adjusted operating income, strengthening its position ahead of a potential public listing. Investors reportedly expect the growth pace to continue through the remainder of the year, with some projecting Anthropic could finish 2026 with revenue between $100 billion and $120 billion, according to the Financial Times.
The growth has been driven largely by surging enterprise demand for Claude across coding, research, and automation applications, as businesses increasingly integrate the model into their internal workflows. Anthropic confidentially submitted a draft S-1 registration statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission in June, giving it the option to pursue a stock market debut depending on market conditions, with some reports suggesting a listing could come as early as this autumn.
The figures also put Anthropic ahead of its chief rival OpenAI, whose annualized revenue recently reached about $40 billion, up from $20 billion at the end of 2025. While the two companies may calculate their revenue metrics using different methodologies, Anthropic's growth trajectory has drawn significant attention from investors watching the race between the two leading AI labs. Anthropic was valued at $965 billion in its latest major funding round, a figure that underscores the scale of investor expectations riding on its continued expansion.
