Generate On-Brand Designs Instantly With Claude Design System Import

Speed up design workflows by importing your codebase or existing design system into Claude Design, so every prototype automatically inherits your brand colors, typography, and components. This eliminates manual style adjustments and ensures instant brand consistency across all generated mockups.

Claude Design, launched in April 2026, includes a design system import feature that reads your existing design files or codebase during onboarding. This means every design, prototype, or mockup you ask Claude to create will automatically use your brand's real colors, typography, spacing, and components-no manual tweaking required.

Here's the workflow: First, in Claude Design, upload your design system tokens, Figma file exports, or CSS files during the initial setup. Claude parses these files and learns your brand rules. Then, whenever you prompt Claude to generate a new interface or mockup (a landing page, product screen, or pitch deck), it applies your design system automatically. You can refine on the canvas with inline comments or direct editing, and use the /design-sync command to hand off verified designs to Claude Code for implementation.

For a SaaS company designing multiple product screens: upload your design system once, then generate 5-10 different feature mockups with consistent spacing, button styles, and color palette. Each mockup respects your system without re-prompting for brand rules. Export as PDF, PowerPoint, or HTML, then send directly to stakeholders or hand to developers.

The key advantage over traditional design tools: you describe the layout in natural language ("sidebar navigation with feature cards below"), Claude builds it in your brand style immediately, and you refine in the live canvas without leaving the interface. For teams shipping multiple designs weekly, this cuts iteration time from hours to minutes.
