Claude Code Artifacts let you generate interactive HTML dashboards and live documentation directly from your codebase, then share them via private links to teammates instantly. No deployment needed-transform technical work into clickable prototypes your stakeholders actually understand within seconds.

Claude Code Artifacts, launched in June 2026, are self-contained HTML pages published from your Claude Code session to a private claude.ai URL. Unlike chat artifacts that live only in conversation, Code artifacts build from your actual repository, connectors, and session context-making prototypes that look like your real product, not a generic mockup.

Here's the workflow: Start a Claude Code session with your codebase open. Ask Claude to generate an interactive dashboard, a PR walkthrough visualizer, or a data table-Claude writes a single self-contained HTML file and publishes it instantly to a private link. You copy that URL and drop it in Slack. Your team opens it in any browser, clicks through the dashboard or walkthrough live, and sees updates as your session continues, all without you needing to commit code or set up a server.

The key advantage for product teams is fidelity. Because Claude Code works inside your repository, it can pull your actual design system, color tokens, and component patterns-your prototype looks like your product, not a wireframe. When you show stakeholders a data dashboard or a feature flow, they take it seriously because it matches your design language exactly. Product managers use this to hand off mockups that developers can almost copy directly.

To activate it: Use Claude Desktop or the Claude Code CLI on a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan. Start a session, ask Claude to generate a dashboard or interactive tool, and when it's ready, look for the publish button or artifact link in the output. Share the private URL with your team-on Team and Enterprise plans, you can configure external sharing to make links public if needed. Iterate by continuing the session; the artifact updates live as Claude refines it.
